Iktisat ve Toplum and TOBB University of Economics and Technology jointly invite researchers who wish to present their work at the 3rd Efil Conference on Economics and Society to submit their applications.

OBJECTIVES

The objective of the Conference is to bring together scholars, professionals, and independent researchers from universities, institutions, and organizations in Türkiye and abroad at the TOBB University of Economics and Technology Söğütözü Campus in Ankara on 16–17 April 2026, in order to provide an appropriate academic environment for sharing research findings, discussing recent developments in the economics, and deliberating on current issues in the Turkish and global economies.

SCOPE

The Organizing Committee encourages applications from academics, professionals outside academia, independent researchers, and graduate students working in all subfields of economics to present their work at the Conference.
The Conference meets the criteria required for UAK’s associate professorship (ÜAK doçentlik kriterleri) applications.

The official languages of the Conference are English and Turkish.

ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS

Graduate students are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts for evaluation for oral or poster presentations. (Graduate students applying for participation with a presentation are required to indicate the type(s) of presentation they wish to give on the application form, should their submission be accepted.)

Graduate students applying for oral presentations may also indicate their preference, if accepted, to present their work in special student sessions organized for the selection and awarding of the most outstanding graduate student papers. (Graduate student papers accepted for presentation that do not indicate such a preference will be assigned to relevant parallel sessions.)

The best oral and poster presentations, as selected by the jury, will be awarded.

COURSES TO BE HELD DURING THE CONFERENCE:

ECONOMICS AND SOCIETY SCHOOL

In addition to oral and poster presentations, participants may attend short courses to be held face-to-face in the afternoons, free of charge. Courses to be offered within the scope of the Conference will be announced in the coming weeks via the Conference website.
